When I think about it, most of the technilogical things I own are turning against me. My computer's whack, my cell phone won't hold a charge and can barely find a signal, and my alarm clock is working when it wants too.

I'm just glad I don't own electric sheets...

10.27.2003

I'm about ready to chuck my computer out the window. It keeps freezing for no (apparent) reason. I tried making a new login for XP, and it didn't freeze under that for awhile, so I thought I was good to go, but then it did freeze later tonight.

I'd just burn my important stuff to cds, format everything and start over, but my burner doesn't work either. So I'm in a lose, lose situation.

My Vaio served me well for so long, but now it's become my worst enemy...

Forgot about this. My Jeep hit 100,000 miles the same day my dad got hit by a deer (and avoided that fortunate pony, he he)

It's been awhile, so I thought I'd throw one of these in.

The Princess Bride
I'm sure it's no big surprise to you that your
romance is The Princess Bride. A heartwarming
tale of "Twue Wuve" that has giants,
Spainards and swashbuckling. You really do
think that love can overcome anything. You may
be a touch naive but your heart is certainly in
the right place. You've probably got one of
those relationships where proper nouns have
been replaced with "Snookums" and
"Pookie Pie". Eww. Beware a cuteness
overload.

My midterm grades: A, A-, B+, B, B, F

Can anyone find the one that doesn't belong? And by the way, the first five are all major-related classes, the last is a general core class.

Tiff inspired me to update to a new look. I've been working on it for a few days (off of somebody else's template, of course) and here it is. I still have some tinkering to do (such as how in the world to get the archives to work).

10.21.2003

Well, today our sand volleyball team played for the Sand Volleyball Intramural Championship. We lost. Pretty bad. We played ok, but the other team played really well. There was an X factor that can be used for a ligitamate excuse, but I don't like excuses, so I won't use it. I'm just happy we went to the final.

Ran out of gas along Rt. 30 today. Between the exits for Alabama and 93, where you can't walk anywhere. Luckily some kindly Boy Scout Leader Man went and got gas for us.

My dad had a little run-in on his way to work yesterday.

Man, I'm posting a lot today. Here's some links care of Dave Barry:

Poor Roy...

Headline of the Week

Sweet.

Oh yeah, tonight was "Senior Grafitti" night in "The Den," the resteraunt-type thing on campus. I spray painted my name and realized I have a very bland, boring name. I'm assumed this for long time, but seeing it in blue and yellow spray paint just brought it out full scale.

Ugh... I just looked at our final exam schedule (I'm yearning for the end of this semester, even though it's only Midterm break this weekend. I really don't enjoy any of my classes) and I found out my three hardest classes exams are all on Tuesday. My easiest class is on Wednesday and the 2nd easiest is Friday. Why does it have to be all crappy like that??

10.13.2003

Matrix Reloaded comes out on DVD tomorrow!

10.12.2003

Decent game for the Browns (3-3) today. Looking at their schedule, I think they'll finish 9-7. Not great. But ok... I guess. That record got a few teams into the playoffs last year.

Well, the original plan for Alexis' birthday party was for a group of us to go to Dave and Busters. However, after talking to Tiff about how much it costs, we decided to go elsewhere. The second plan was dessert at The Cheesecake Factory, but there was a two and a half hour wait. So, we went to Maggie Moo's for some ice cream. Good stuff. After that, we met up with some more people and saw School of Rock. Great movie. Jack Black is very funny, and for once it was mostly clean. It was a very fun night, except when we got in the car and heard the last 15 seconds of the Buckeyes game.... oh well, the streak had to end sometime. At least the Cubs won.

10.11.2003

I am now excepting donations for my new car fund. I will need approximately $411 a day in donations to get one in exactly one year, so step up people, don't be shy. We're also taking pledges, so if you'd like to space out your payments, that will be fine, too. Let's work together for this noble cause.

Dalton over Smithville. Nice.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEXIS!!!

10.9.2003

Well, it was a pretty sure thing before, but now it's a proven fact:

CALIFORNIA IS A BUNCH OF DOPES!

10.6.2003

I'm going to Germany for spring break.

Why Germany? Well, I was going to go to Jamaica with SGA, but I'm not in that anymore (I'm not sure if I blogged that whole structural change, it was pretty odd) and don't really get along with most of them anyways. I wanted to do some type of mission trip, and weighing the other options decided to go to Frankfurt. I figured I don't want to go to Germany for any other reason, so I might as well go there for this. I have only been out of Ohio twice (Pittsburgh and Indiana) while in college and haven't really been on a vacation since our band/choir trip freshman year of high school, if you want to consider that a vacation. I've never been on an airplane, and never out of the country (execept Canada, which isn't a real country, he he) so I'm planning on some major culture shock and just an overall odd experience. Alexis is going, too so that should help. I'm looking forward to it. By the way, if you want to donate to my trip fun, let me know :-)

Happy Birthday, Tiff!

10.5.2003

I ate well this weekend. Saturday night, Alexis' parents took us to Hoggy's in Columbus, they today we went to Ruby Tuesday for lunch, I had Sister's Pizza at home for supper and finished things off with an Artic Swirl from the Dariette. Needless to say, I'm quite full.

10.4.2003

Waynedale 44, Dalton 0??????

What the heck happened?

**Update** "The list of miscues for Dalton was seemingly endless, as the Dawgs tossed four picks, fumbled twice, had a punt blocked, a safety scored against them and committed six penalties." Never mind. That explains it.

10.2.2003

We've had an infestation of bees in our apartment the last few days. I killed over 50 on Tues., and we put down around 20-30 yesterday. Last night, apparently one of the ones my apartmentmate sprayed but only stunned and didn't kill crawled to me and stung me in the leg. Not fun. Especially since I have a mild (that goodness it's not as serious as I thought) allergy to them. So I have a swollen leg.

I guess Us 80, Them 1 isn't bad...
