We need to be praying for out country. If people find "under God" offensive and what to ban it, what's next?

I counted the hours on my work schedule and realized I was only scheduled for about 40 hours total in July. So I'm now starting the process of a job search and could use your prayers of God's guidance.

2 Prayer Requests

First, on the way home from my grandparents house this evening, I passed what looked like a one vehicle motorcycle accident on 94 on the railroad side of the S-Curve. They paramedics were putting a man in the ambulance when I went by. I don't know what happened or who it was, but prayers are surely needed.

Second, for the people of St. Louis. The Cardinals (the city's baseball team) had two of their finest pass away this weekend. Their radio announcer of 49 years earlier in the week and today 33-old-pitcher Darryl Kile. They were two very important people to the club and to baseball and to lose either one is tragedy in itself, but both in a week... wow. I know baseball is trivial compared to a lot of things in the world, but still. Prayers again are needed.

Thanks

Praise - Alexis and I went to Mount Vernon to spend time with our good friend (and Alexis' roommate next year). It was a blast. We spent 3 1/2 hours at Friendly's just talking about stuff. Something I think all three of us needed to do (well at least the talking, the Friendly's part was just a bonus).

Prayer - This same friend has some choices to make and she needs prayers for guidance to make the right ones.

I used to just shrug off the headlies about the suicide bombers in the middle east because I think it's such a lame thing, and it usually only kills the bomber. But now it seems like there is another one in the AOL or Yahoo headlines every morning when I get on to check my mail. There are so many innocent people dying because some crazy person thinks killing him or herself and a few others will give freedom or whatever they want to whoever their people are. It's way out of control and we need to pray for peace and that these people realize that they aren't accomplishing anything by doing this.

Ouch

Last Wednesday I was rollerblading with my brother and I hit a stick and fell, taking the brunt of the fall on my chin. Praise God that nothing was broken although I did split my chin open and had to have it glued shut. That is healing as well as all my other scrapes and bruises. However, when I fell and hit my chin I jammed my jaw on the right side and it's sprained or something. Anyway it's not getting any better. So I would like to ask for prayer that my jaw would heal quickly and that I could open my mouth more than a finger's width. Thanks!!

Grandpa

My Grandpa and Grandma are leaving on Sat. for Texas to go to a clinic down there for my Grandpa's cancer. They are driving down. Pray that they have safe travel and that everything goes well at the clinic and that the treatment works. Also pray that they can find nice lodging for a decent price. Meanwhile, Tracy and I will be here housesitting for them, so pray that nothing strange happens at their house while they are gone. Thanks!
