I was going to write this big long thing about the Pledge and the federal court ruling, but it has a hold put on it already. Maybe I'll get around to it later.

Due to the fact my boss finally let me in one the fact she can only schedule me 200 total hours this summer (nice to know at the end of June when I've already worked about 75) I head out into the world of job searching today.

I know the odds of finding something are low, but I need $$$.

A note for those of you out there that use your local library and other public facilities.

Just because you go to a place and spend a lot of time there, you don't own it and you don't the right to fix stuff.

There's this guy that keep coming in to the library and he's started to take initiative to fix/reload the copier himself and today he was trying to figure out how to put toner in our printer. There's people at the counter and he doesn't ask, he just does it! It's really frustrating especially when he has almost broken things trying to do it himself. Just ask, guy, just ask.

Found a cool show last night. Monster Garage on the Discovery Channel. They take a car and turn it into something else. Like last night they turned a 1998 Beetle into a swamp buggy and a 5.0 Mustang into a lawn mower. It's on all afternoon and evening this Sunday, so if you get a chance, check it out.

Whoa, this is interesting stuff

Archive.org is a place where you can put in a URL and see how a web page was on different date in different years. You can also see web pages that no longer exist anymore, it's pretty neat.

For instance, here's is what MVNU's web page looked in 1997 and 1998. Pretty nasty web design for a college.

Monday at the Movies - Bandits

One of the two movies I watched last night was Bandits. It stars Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton as America's most successful bankrobbers and Cate Blanchett as the foil. more

This is the most perfect day I can remember.

Alexis and I spent 3 hours at the pool (I say the pool like you all know what pool, but anyways). Then went to Subway and got a couple of movies. With lots of good conversations in between. It was exactly what I needed.

The only bad thing is now my shoulders, back, and chest are now sunburnt. See, I did the brilliant, "hey my arms, legs, neck, and face are already tan, so I'll put sunscreen on them and not the rest of me" I knew it was a stupid idea, but I did it anyways. But at least I don't have a nice gleaming white under my shirt. Instead... I have reverse tan lines... but the places were I put sunblock are all nicely tanned now. The last few years my sun burns have turned to tans in a day or so. I'm hoping this time is the same.
